Hello, I just built a siding jig for my Hud-son mill. The jig raises 1/2" when tilting. I can't seem to get the scale increments right. I make two cuts 5/8" and two pieces come out perfect. Then the third cut comes out way too thick. Any insight would help. Kilted Sawyer suggested you.

There are several methods of how to quarter saw lumber, depending on the machine but this was one of the better ones. Thanks.

I just watched your build series on this, if you need to space the front wheels out some. Get you some 2001-2010 chevy 3500HD dually hub extensions. Those allowed the dually style wheels to be ran on on a 3/4 ton. Wouldn't have to extend the a-arms then. I used them on my 82 c10 dually conversion.

Nice job! That's not messy at all! I've been sawing a few years in the state on top of yours, I've probably got a few tons of dunnage. Nobody wants it. Gonna have to rent a huge chipper to get rid of it. Wish my area was cleaner like yours!

I've never turned English Walnut, however black walnut looks great with an abrasive paste followed by a paste wax. That being said, it's your project and at the end of the day the finish you prefer is what matters

You should always put the fat part of the shock towards the road I would want that little rod exposed I’d rather have it protected under the body great build tho

Customers definitely don't pay for your tidy mill, ha ha ha all sawmills are untidy at least part of the day, when I worked in the mill it was a full-time job to keep up with the mess, it's ridiculous sometimes as I would have huge blockages. 😊

Regarding the accusation of being "the messiest" on YT; nawww, as a group, when we're milling, we're messy. End of discussion. (It's only a matter of how long it stays messy that's in question...😁) I know I'm the squeaky wheel, but do you ever repurpose the wide cedar off-cuts into bird or bat boxes? Every time I see you casually toss those perfect boards into the scrap pile, my bird and bat roosting box heart just breaks. Enjoying the content from your envious of wide cedar off-cut neighbour in Linn County.

I sided my house with red cedar and we love the smell. It is easy to stain and seal against the weather. A 2 foot over hang helps to keep the weather off the cedar for the most part. Thanks for making this video, the saw seems to work very well.
